Focus like an Olympian

Focus like an Olympian

As I was watching the Olympics recently, I was thinking about how all the athletes had sacrificed much to make it to the Games.

That type of singular focus is admirable. I couldn’t help but think how each of them had discovered the sport they loved and worked at it until they became great at it.

It also reminded me of how important it is to have focus in our network marketing business. It’s easy to go from one idea to the next and the next while we seek success.

Many new networkers are just learning one technique when another one comes along that makes them leave the first one. Instead it’s better to find an approach that works and master it. Once you’ve got it under control, then you can try another.

In short, a narrower focus is almost always better than a broader effort.

That’s why many who are trying to develop “multiple streams of income” struggle. It sounds like a good idea, but in practice it usually doesn’t work.

  1. Steve you bring up a great point with the multiple streams of income. A lot of people when the y first get on the internet, get introduced to that concept.

And yes in theory it sounds good.
Til you are running in circles trying to keep five different businesses going.

One marketing plan is hard enough to devise and follow, let alone five. Then they only realize it doesn’t work when all the credit card are full.

Your right they should focus on one system Mentoring for Free

  2. Gary,

I once tried the “multiple streams of income” deal. I felt like a juggler who was trying to keep too many balls in the air at once. I was losing money and my sanity at the same time.

    I appreciate your insight.

  3. Steve,
I can’t even imagine what it was like to do multiple streams of income. One business takes up all my time. It does help to master one technique and then move on to another. It also helps to have tremendous training. If you’re looking for help get in touch with Steve, he will show you how to get started in the right direction.

    Thanks,

  4. Good points made. Focus is so important and also why it doesnt work to jump from one MLM to another. Sometimes changing companies can be the right choice, but in most cases its simply finding what works.

  5. Debbie,

You’re right. The multiple streams of income dry up in a hurry.

    I appreciate the kind words.

    Joanne,

You are correct. The best plan is to find a great company with a great system and follow the plan.

    Thanks for the comment.
